Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements Update

2023 Versions With New AI Tools

Adobe has launched updated versions of its Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements applications, with lots of new features focused on editing photo and video content for social media platforms. They have also introduced specialized AI tools that are designed specifically to make it easier to create and modify short form content. All of these new updates are available in the latest versions of their applications that now offer cloud support and optimizations for the Apple M1 architecture.

Photoshop Updates

One of the biggest features introduced this year is the addition of Guided Edits. You can pick between over 60 pre-installed editing workflows that teach you the step-by-step process of executing various effects while editing photos. You can do all sorts of stuff, including but not limited to adding or removing objects, creating the illusion of depth, adding overlays of text, gradients, blurs, vignettes, and more.

Other tools help you replace entire backgrounds, create collages of photos and videos, and even turn a photo into a gif. There are even new tools for facial touch-ups that offer advanced correction options like opening closed eyes, making people smile, smoothening the skin, changing the face tilt, and much more.

Premiere Updates

The updates to Premiere are more focused on video editing. You can now take videos that you have shot on your phone and add simple optimizations like reducing noise or resizing them for the vertical format while still maintaining focus on key elements. If you want something more advanced, there are new AI tools that let you apply various effects on specific objects or persons in the video and then automatically track the changes through the entire video.

For people looking to create new videos rather than just edit them, there are new slideshow templates and themes that let you base your video on iconic artwork. There is a special AI tool that you use to turn multiple photos and videos into a single stop-motion movie. You can even pick a song to overlay on the video from a collection of over 100 new audio tracks. It is all about unleashing your creativity in new and exciting ways.

App Updates

A new feature in the 2023 version of these Adobe applications is support for cloud-based continuity. You can shoot photos and videos from your smartphone and upload them to the cloud. Then edit them on Adobe web or desktop applications and share them back to the smartphone for posting.

The company has also optimized these applications to take full advantage of the M1 silicon from Apple. They claim that the new Photoshop Elements runs 45% faster, and Premiere Elements is around 70% faster on M1 Macs. You can get these updated versions of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements for $99.99 each or bundle them together for $149.99.
