Google Bard Chatbot AI Launched

Rival To ChatGPT

Google has launched its own version of AI chatbot Bard as a rival to the viral sensation ChatGPT. Google stated that before being made available to the general public in the upcoming weeks, Bard would be used by a handful of testers. Bard is based on the huge language model Lamda from Google, which has responses that are very similar to humans. The IT behemoth also unveiled new additional AI search engine tools.

Functionalities

AI chatbots are made to find information and respond to queries. The most well-known example is the OpenAI ChatGPT. They utilise the internet as a vast repository of knowledge, but there are worries that it may also contain offensive content and misinformation. Bard, in the same manner, seeks to integrate the richness of the world’s knowledge with the strength, intelligence, and creativity of our massive language models.

Features Of Bard

The platform will initially run on a lightweight variation of Lamda that consumes less power and allows for simultaneous use by more users. Although Google’s AI services are intended to be bold and responsible, there is no concrete information on how Bard would be stopped from distributing offensive or dangerous content. Based on data from the internet as it existed in 2021, the AI chatbot may respond to questions and fulfil requests in text form.

It can produce student essays, news stories, music, songs and playlists or speeches and commercial material. The chatbot’s ultimate goal is to replace pages of online links with a single, conclusive response in internet searches. This AI can produce useful and integrating insights for questions when there’s no one right answer.

Availability

Although it now costs the company Google a few pennies each time someone uses it, it is currently free for users. Users just have to sign up on Bard to access it.
