Google Pixel Updates Released

Biggest Pixel Feature Drop

On the first Monday of every month, Google releases a new update for its Pixel phones. But this time, it is a very unique and special update that introduces some key new features for not only the phones but also for the recently released Pixel Watch. Let us have a look at these new exciting feature updates.

Google-Pixel-Updates

Google One VPN

Now, the owners of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro can get VPN by Google One. The VPN is designed to help ensure that the network traffic can’t be traced to the user’s identity. Further, the Android settings have combined security and privacy settings. This new area contains action cards at the top that alerts the user to any security threats and provide quick fixes.

Noise Cancellation

Next, the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro’s Clear calling feature improves the caller’s speech quality and lowers background noise so that the voice on the phone can be clearly heard even when they are in a busy environment. Additionally, Gboard now supports Grammar Check in French, and Live Translate now supports Arabic, Persian, Swedish, Vietnamese, and Danish text translations in messaging apps.

Voice Recording Transcriptions

In addition, to live transcribing audio calls, the new update also brings this feature to voice messages and audio recordings. Each speaker in an interview or meeting is now individually identified and tagged by the Pixel Recorder, which now adds line breaks to the transcription as the speaker changes. Machine learning processes everything live as the user records, and if something is off, the speakers can be re-labelled.

Digital Key

Also, a digital vehicle key can be shared with friends and family members that require access to the automobile and enables the user to lock, unlock, and start a compatible car using just their phones. For now, this feature is limited to the Pixel series, but chances are that it will be introduced to other Android smartphones through future updates

Updates for Pixel Watch

From now, the Pixel Watch will support the Fitbit Sleep Profile feature. For the first six months after purchasing a Pixel Watch, this is free. However, after that, there is a cost of $12 a month to access services like this. Additionally, a sleep profile provides the user with a high-definition snapshot of their sleep quality at a glance, accounting for factors like duration, consistency, and disturbance. Based on personal metrics, results will change each month. But to avail of these features, the user has to wear their Pixel Watch to bed for at least 14 days each month.
