Snapchat Plus Update

With New Customization Features

The very popular social media app Snapchat also has a paid version of itself called Snapchat Plus. Now, three new features are being added to Snapchat Plus. Subscribers can now alter the camera capture button, app icons, and other aspects of the app to give it a more distinctive appearance and feel. They can customise the features to add their personal touch.

What is Snapchat Plus?

Earlier this year, Snapchat unveiled its paid membership service, which included a number of privileged, beta, and experimental features. A special badge, the ability to pin a buddy as your No. 1 friend, and the opportunity to view who has rewatched your story are all unlocked by upgrading to Snapchat Plus. The subscription gives the users access to the opportunity to view the general route taken by friends who just moved. Snapchat Plus has reportedly contributed to the app’s $5 million in revenue in its first month of existence.

Previous Updates

Some of the earlier updates included users being able to set their Snapchat stories to expire at varied intervals rather than 24 hours after the social network’s earlier Snapchat Plus feature went live in October. Following the change, users of Snapchat Plus may now specify the time at which Snaps on their Stories expire, choosing from options like one hour, six hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, two days, three days, or one week. It also offered users the choice of using various personalised notification noises when a friend snapped a photo of them.

New Features

The camera capture button can be customised by users to be a certain colour or shape, such as a heart or a soccer ball. With the new Chat Wallpapers function, subscribers may now also set a personalised background to their chats, similar to Meta‘s Whatsapp, which has had the feature for quite some time. Now that they have access to the regular backdrops found in the app or their photo roll, Snapchat Plus customers can change the chat wallpapers on their devices.

Also, with the addition of a new Gifting function, members may now gift a Snapchat Plus subscription to a friend in time for the holidays. For $39.99, you can gift a buddy a 12-month subscription to Snapchat Plus through Gifting.

Availability

All the new features and updates are available to the users of Snapchat Plus only. Regular Snapchat users cannot avail of the features. The subscription for Snapchat Plus starts at $3.99 per month.
