Twitter Blue is a paid subscription service available in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the US. It offers various additional features to users, such as ad-free articles, a dedicated reader format, Bookmark folders, custom app icons and colour themes, the ability to upload 1080p videos of up to 10 minutes, and even an undo tweet option. Now, the Edit button has also been added to this growing list of paid benefits.
Under this new feature, Twitter Blue users will be able to edit their tweets for up to 30 minutes after posting. They can edit any given tweet up to 5 times within this period, with the edited tweet being represented by adding a pencil icon. Normal users will be able to see the entire edit history by tapping the timestamp that will showcase when the tweets were edited.
Twitter will collect data on how the system is used or abused by their paid subscribers and make further modifications to the system in the coming months. Once they are sure that all the potential risks and bugs have been taken care of, they will eventually release the feature to the rest of their audience base.
