Design
Its primary intended use will be in vehicles. Hence the manufacturer has kept the device's dimensions to a manageable 5.9 by 3.5 inches. This basic size enables it to be positioned wherever in the vehicle, whether it is your dashboard or headrest. With a thickness of just 0.1 inches, it will not disturb its surroundings at all. There will be a major shift in the speaker industry if this really delivers superior sound quality.
Thin Actuator Technology
A new Thin Actuator Sound Technology will power these covert invisible speakers. When compared to conventional speakers, which rely on large voice coils, cones and magnets, these new modules take very little space, as they use a film-like exciter membrane to generate vibrations.
This new technology represents a major improvement. With this new technique, a display or even a dashboard may be utilized to generate vibrations, resulting in a high-quality sound that was previously only possible with coils, cones, and magnets. LG has previously employed a similar technique in an OLED TV, where the panel vibrates to create sound. Sony has also adopted this technology for use in their A95K high-end television in place of conventional speakers.
Price and Availability
It's cutting-edge tech that can't be had or used in any car at the moment. LG forecasts that these speakers will debut in new vehicles sometime during the first semester of 2019. Till then, we have to wait for these Invisible Speakers.
