Design
This drone has been designed with the farmer in mind. Folding this up into a compact size and storing it in a bag makes it easy to bring long distances. Otherwise, it features the standard Mavic design that features four stable wings and a low centre of gravity. The drone features multiple sensors and cameras spread across the body, which protect it from accidental collisions. This will also help it navigate the farmlands while avoiding trees and large bushes. In the past, farmers have had trouble knowing how their crops were doing due to the vast distances needed to be covered to check the status each day. But that problem has been resolved by the company.
Camera
The dual-camera system on the DJI Mavic 3M could prove useful for farmers. In terms of resolution, the device's RGB camera boasts 20 megapixels and a 4/3-inch CMOS sensor. Automatically, it can be set to a maximum shutter speed of 1/2000. Additionally, a superior four-lens multispectral camera is at your disposal. The in-flight navigational accuracy of this drone is ensured by its RTK module. By syncing the drone's camera with the RTK module, precise picture positions can be achieved without the use of ground control points. In addition, when using O3, the Mavic 3M can transmit video for up to 15 kilometres.
Battery
The company has reduced the size of the battery in an effort to reduce the overall size and weight. As a design feature, this drone's advertised 43-minute battery life is adequate. This drone can cover up to 2 square kilometres of ground on a single charge, which is an excellent performance given the power source. The cost of this drone's battery has not been discussed further.
Application
The DJI Mavic 3M excels in applications like natural resource surveying and agricultural development. With the help of the bundled software, the drone can perform automatic crop surveys and detect anomalies. The Mavic 3M's adaptability means that a single drone can keep an eye on an area as large as 70 acres.
