Design & Audio
The Alienware Legend 3 design language served as the foundation for the chassis designs of both X16 and X14 R2. Both have chassis constructed entirely of anodised aluminium and magnesium alloy. The Alienware team has, for the first time, created a system with six speakers included in every configuration with the X16. The audio system has two up-firing tweeters for crystal-clear sound and a dual woofer setup for powerful bass. The Dolby Atmos spatial audio is presented with superb support from such a potent audio setup.
Performance
The Alienware X16 is being called the world’s most premium gaming laptop. It comes with a 13th Gen Intel Core i7 13620H, Core i7 13700H, or Core i9 13900HK processor. RTX 4050 6GB, RTX 4060 8GB, RTX 4070 8GB, all with a 140W maximum GFX power, or RTX 4080 12GB, and RTX 4090 16GB, all with 175W maximum GFX power, are the five GeForce RTX 40-series options available for the X16.
The X14 R2 is being referred to as the thinnest 14-inch gaming laptop in the world and only offers the Intel Core i5 13420H or Core i7 13620H as processor choices. There are only three options available for the X14 R2: RTX 4060, 8GB or 3050 6GB. Both RTX 40 variants for the X14 R2 are built for smaller power envelops (50W or 80W max GFX power) to fit the cooler’s performance and the body’s lighter and thinner construction.
