Fresh and yet with the familiar elements fans love, Yoga’s minimalist-meets-luxury design marks a significant shift towards humanized forms and emotive aesthetics, creating a bespoke modern experience. With its new vertically-flipped brand treatment, this visually-unique style doesn’t cut corners. Instead, it rounds them into comfortably-curved edges and ushers in a gender-neutral colour palette, more recycled materials, and luxury finishes.
Another highlight for the Yoga portfolio this year is the introduction of Lenovo’s groundbreaking CO2 Offset Service that will now give consumers the chance to compensate for the environmental impacts associated with their Lenovo Yoga PC to contribute to a more sustainable future.
Lenovo Yoga 9i
The new Yoga 9i convertible (14”) comes with pre-installed Windows 11 powered by 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1260P processor, combined with Intel Iris Xe graphics. The laptop has been co-engineered with Intel and verified via the Intel Evo platform to deliver super-fast bootup.
The premium Yoga 9i delivers an enhanced audio experience that pumps up the loudness factor by an estimated 64 percent over the previous generation. This is made possible by an improved Rotating Sound Bar with quad Bowers & Wilkins speakers, consisting of two woofers and two tweeters on the top and sides for authentic acoustics and the immersive sound of Dolby Atmos.
The display is a 4K OLED IPS touchscreen with slim bezels, along with VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certified for 100 percent DCI-P3 colour accuracy and optimized by Dolby Vision. It comes in a 16:10 format for less scrolling and a 60Hz refresh rate for everyday computing. The TÜV Low Blue Light certification means it’s specially calibrated to help reduce eye strain.
The Yoga 9i’s most significant update may be the least obvious. You get a new untraditional edge-to-edge keyboard design layout offering a bar of new 1-Click Function Keys with five additional shortcut keys marked with user-friendly icons for quick access to frequently used features. These include:
A shortcut to shift into Smart Power performance mode that enables higher performance or longer battery life depending on what you’re doing at the time. Just look for the performance icon to enable Smart Power that optimizes system battery life and cooler thermals with up to 28W TDP and a 75Whr battery.
The clever Background Blur function instantly helps to protect the privacy of one’s surroundings on video calls via Microsoft Teams or other collaboration platforms with just a click.
A smarter Audio mode changing function key that we call Vibe Check helps users better perceive differences between nuanced audio profiles. Choose from music mode to gaming mode or movie mode for a greater sound effect.
In addition to smart sense lighting that auto-adjusts the keyboard’s backlighting based on ambient light, there’s the Color mode key that makes it easy for users to switch their system appearance between dark and light mode via Windows’ native colour settings feature to see which works best.
In the same column of keys, you’ll discover that the Fingerprint reader was placed here instead of where your wrists typically hit the palm rest for added comfort and a cleaner appearance. It also has an FHD infrared (IR) camera with convenient smart login and electronic privacy shutter.
In addition to everything else, you also get a 45 percent larger touchpad for increased usable surface area, plus more ports, including two Intel Thunderbolt 4 ports and expanded Wi-Fi 6E for fast dedicated connectivity. What’s more, this portable powerhouse is available in inviting neutrals like Storm Grey and warm Oatmeal hue, a high-gloss outer surround adds a hint of bling to this flagship 2-and-1 laptop. For extra durability, its precise unibody is made from high-grade aluminium and comes with a new Comfort Edge design to make carrying your laptop from place to place just that little bit easier. You’ll also find a Precision Pen 2 or e-color pen inside the box for all those scribblers out there who prefer the feel of a real pen in their hand.

The package is rounded off with an optional active pen and more ports, including Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-A, and an HDMI/SD card reader.
Lenovo Yoga 6
The new Yoga 6 (13”) convertible laptop is inspired by sustainability. The 2-in-1 laptop is made with recycled materials, including a cover made from recycled aluminium or a fabric-wrapped cover option made with 50 percent recycled plastics and treated with a stain-resistant finish for resilience. Thirty percent of recycled plastics were used in the power adapter. The Yoga 6 is also free of mercury, arsenic, and brominated flame retardant (BFR) free, and comes ENERGY STAR certified and EPEAT Silver certified for meeting energy saving and environmental standards.
Nearly 25 percent of Yoga 6’s battery cells use post-consumption plastic, and even the laptop’s packaging is made from sourced sustainable paper packaging from responsibly managed and FSC-certified forests. Likewise, 90 percent of the protective cushion inside the box was made from recycled plastic.
Besides being more eco-friendly, this lightweight convertible is also quite powerful, with AMD Ryzen 7 5700U Mobile Processor and integrated AMD Radeon Graphics built on leading 7nm technology.
Designed for portability and premium entertainment from nearly anywhere, Yoga 6 offers a 13-inch Full HD 16:10 ratio touchscreen display for crisp picture quality and Dolby Vision, and two front-facing speakers and Dolby Atmos for an incredible sound experience. Plus, you’ll get more I/O ports over the previous generation, and the optional pen comes bundled in select markets.
Lenovo CO2 Offset Service – Now for Consumers!
On top of all these sustainability choices, the company is also introducing its CO2 Offset Service for consumers. This gives users a simple and transparent way to compensate for the environmental impact of their purchased device. Lenovo has calculated the average carbon emissions of its PCs across their lifecycle, from manufacture and shipment, all the way through usage. At the point of purchase, users get the chance to opt in and make a contribution that is based on the cost of those emissions to one of several different United Nations Climate Action projects, including those that help to improve renewable energy, reduce air pollution, or enhance safe waste disposal.
Since globally launching this service in January 2021, Lenovo has helped commercial companies offset more than 500,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide, the equivalent of greenhouse gas emitted from more than 100,000 passenger vehicles driven over the course of one year. Now through this service expansion to the consumer space, Yoga and Lenovo Legion users interested in addressing climate change through CO2 compensation have a simple and transparent way to do so at the click of a button.
Lenovo Premium Care Plus
Another feature that consumers can benefit from this January is the latest in elevated PC support, Lenovo Premium Care Plus. You get added protection in cases of accidental drops, as well as an expanded support package, which delivers real-time PC support, plus a suite of advanced Lenovo support services all in one package.

These additional services are available for free on all the new laptops. Although you will still have to pay for the laptop. You can get the Yoga 9i convertible laptop (14”) for a starting price of $1,399.
