Design
The Book Air 13 features a sleek profile thanks to the non-existent bezels and slightly tapered edges. In fact, the only place where the bezels and the body itself gain some definite heft is the hinge portion, which features two metallic 360-degree hinges on either side of the device to give you proper and easy movement while still maintaining the integrity of the chassis. The hinges have been moved a bit inwards into the body, so they are protected from unexpected bumps and crashes that often create issues with the same. The rest of the body is pretty understated, with colour-matched top and bottom panels and a well-fitted keyboard that hosts a pair of stereo speakers on the sides.
Display & Internals
The laptop comes with a 13.3-inch OLED panel, which features a 60Hz refresh rate and a maximum resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. The screen features a 16:10 aspect ratio and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. You also get Dolby Vision support in addition to Dolby Atmos support for the speakers. As well as HDR and Intel Evo certifications to make it a worthy offering.
The setup is powered by 12th gen Intel Core i5 & i7 processors, which are paired with Intel Iris Xe GPUs, as well as up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of SSD storage. There are some connectivity options to pick from, with the IO consisting of barely two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, an audio jack, and general WIFI and Bluetooth. The whole setup runs on Windows 11 and is powered by a 58.3Whr battery that comes with 65W fast charging.
Price & Availability
All this and more is available at a starting price of $827 for the i5 variant, while the i7 model starts at $965. These models are currently on sale in China but will be launched in the global market in the coming months.
