The River series features the following products; River, RiverMini, RiverMax, and RiverPro. The EcoFlow River series of portable power stations can power up to 9 devices at once and accept a variety of charging sources, including a solar charger or a car charger. On the other side is the Delta series, featuring the Delta, DeltaMini, DeltaMax 1600, DeltaMax 2000, and DeltaPro. The Delta range focuses on providing long-lasting and robust power solutions, by acting as plug-and-play battery-powered generators. They retain their mobility but aren’t as lightweight as the River devices.
EcoFlow River remains the most portable option, with 288Wh of capacity and only 11 pounds of weight. The EcoFlow RiverMini is unique for being the only one of the river series that is equipped with wireless charging. River Max is a larger alternative with 576Wh capacity, thanks to the inclusion of an extra battery. While the EcoFlow River Pro is more ideal for long-haul adventures and home backup, with a max capacity of 720Wh.
In the Delta series, one of the flagship power stations is the EcoFlow Delta Max, with a starting capacity of 2016Wh. It can support a family’s emergency use needs (four lights, a fan, a router, a laptop, a fridge, and charging of smartphones) for half a day. People who need more can connect up to two Delta Max Smart Extra Batteries, to extend the capacity up to 6048Wh.
The Delta Pro remains the beast of the group, with an expandable capacity of up to 25kWh. However, it can still fully recharge in under two hours and is the industry’s first battery to harness multiple power sources. The full ecosystem has enough power – on just one charge – to meet an average family’s emergency power usage for about one week.
In addition to being portable and powerful, EcoFlow’s products are also unique and feature some proprietary systems that further add to the value. For example, these smart inverters host a patented technology called X-Stream, which enables them to charge up to 80% within just 1 hour. This power is easily accessible to all sorts of appliances and machinery, thanks to the X-Boost feature, which allows you to run larger output appliances, even up to 4500W.
But, perhaps the most appreciated feature of the ecosystem is the ability to make it completely clean, thanks to EcoFlow’s range of solar energy solutions. EcoFlow’s solar panels and generators can charge up in around 3 to 8 hours. You can even pick from a range of options for solar panels that they can be connected to, at home or outdoors. This is a great way to ensure unexpected power cuts don’t cause a blackout.
The great thing about all this is, that you can easily control all these features and monitor the system, via a simple app that gets data from the BMS. EcoFlow's BMS (Battery Management System) measures real-time voltage, current, and temperature precisely and conditions the battery for best performance with an intelligent algorithm. Thus, making it a truly ‘smart’ power solution.
For all these innovations and more, the EcoFlow Delta Pro Portable Power Station was named on TIME’s list of 100 Best Inventions of 2021 and received the Red Dot Design Award in 2022. Thus, making them seem like a safe bet for anyone looking to be energy independent.
