Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Launched

New Paradise With Chrome Theme

The makers of Fortnite have announced the launch of the third chapter of their fourth season, called Paradise. This new update brings in a special chrome theme to the game, which enables a whole new aesthetic as well as a gameplay mechanism. You can also enjoy various themed player skins and weapon classes, as well as a whole new breaching ability.

As we said, the theme of this chapter is chrome, which means that the whole map is covered in a chrome-like substance. It is slowly consuming all the buildings, players and other environmental features. It is up to the players to stop this growing infestation while also surviving against other players.

Players can also use chrome to their advantage, thanks to a new ability called Chrome Splash. You can throw the Chrome Splash on any wall, and it will let you phase through it for a short amount of time. This means that now you can breach buildings without actually going through the doors or windows.

At the same time, if you throw the Chrome Splash at your own feet, it will make you immune to fire and fire damage. You will also be able to air dash and move at super speeds for a limited amount of time. If you are sprinting in this condition, your body itself turns into a chrome blob, which makes for interesting gameplay.

In addition to the Chrome Splash, you also get a few chrome-themed weapons, like the EvoChrome Shotgun and Burst Rifle. These are unique weapons that automatically update their rarity depending on the number of people you kill with them. This means that even if you find a base variant of these two guns, you can upgrade them through grinding alone.

All this comes in addition to other weapons and mechanics that are carried over from the previous season, like the Reality Trees, which randomly spawn powerful items. Other additions come in the form of vaults, which can be opened with special keys hidden throughout the map. The vaults come in different tiers and can be opened with one or two keys depending on the security level and loot status.

The last highlight of the new chrome theme is the addition of new gameplay locations that pop up throughout the map. These new locations, called Cloudy Condos and Herald's Sanctum, are already covered in the chrome substance and provide plenty of new exploration options. If you don't stop the infection in time, chances are that other locations might also get overrun with chrome.

This is the core storyline behind this new season, and you can take your time playing through it. Once you complete all the different battle pass challenges, you will unlock various chrome-themed gifts, including new character skins like Paradigm, Bytes, Grriz, Meow Skulls, Lennox Rose, Twyn, and even Spider-Gwen. The Herald will also be a playable character but will only be accessible later in the season. Unfortunately, he will not be part of the battle pass, but you still get enough bonus items to make up for it. So, go out and enjoy your experience in this new Paradise.
