Two rumble motors in the grips provide a strong and subtle vibration, while two more motors behind the triggers provide vibration feedback to the fingertips, accurately simulating every impact, engine roar, and surface change in the game.
Buttons
For high-stakes play, the G7 has been outfitted with two extra back buttons that may be programmed mid-game to perform useful functions. The mapping of the following buttons is supported: A, B, X, Y, LB, LT, RT, L3, R3, D-pad, Menu, Xbox, and View. Each trigger and bumper has a textured grip that prevents fingers from slipping, even during quick operations, and provides comfort even during extended playtime.
Surprisingly, the face buttons feel cushioned and sharp despite having a 5-layer structure where microswitches enable quicker actuation with a decreased actuation distance of only 0.6mm, around 40% less than the typical membrane controller.
Connectivity
The controller is for a wired gaming system and does not have a battery. It includes a detachable USB-C cable that can be used to connect to a computer or Xbox console (3 meters in length). Players may use the 3.5mm audio port to connect their preferred headset, adjust the volume without installing any software, and silence the microphone with a single button click. The GameSir G7 is compatible with the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11.
GameSir Nexus
GameSir Nexus, which must be installed on your system, allows you to modify the behaviour of each button on this controller. The inclusion of Analog ALPS joysticks will make for a more satisfying gaming experience.
Joysticks that have been algorithmically optimized offer smooth, precise control in any direction. If you use the GameSir Nexus software, you can easily set a Deadzone of 0 and toggle between Default and the special "Raw" mode to gain an unfair advantage in any game. Superb glide and control of the stick are yours to enjoy with the help of the anti-friction rings.
Controller profiles can be made with the help of the fully modifiable GameSir Nexus software by assigning buttons, changing the D-pad's diagonal, modifying the stick and trigger zones, setting the vibration level, and more.
