The first event will take place at Topline Family Park in Cairo, Egypt, and will feature some of the region’s top gaming talent, including EstubeGaming, LeOniDeS, ShaDowZa and Tuna. The attendees will be serenaded by a performance from famous DJ Just Zeina.
This event has been created to celebrate the success of the Valorant series in the MENA region. The Cairo event will be held on the 10th and 11th of December. Both days will include three-hour long waves, with the first waves on each day being broadcasted live on Twitch. Due to the limited spaces available at the physical event location, the game will reset between waves to allow as many people as possible to join in.
The wave has been designed in a manner that fans at the physical event and those watching online can play together. To make this possible, the physical and virtual worlds will be separated into Earth 1 and Earth 2, respectively, with set missions for both.
Players at the in-person event will be on Earth 1, and their mission will be to defuse the objective, which is known as the spike in the game. Players from Earth 2, i.e. online fans, will be tasked with sabotaging their missions. They can even interact with the events going on in the physical venue, thanks to the inclusion of a commander and a special undercover agent who will be physically present at the event.
The commander is the online host of the event, who guides the show by live broadcasting from a remote studio while interacting with the audience and their undercover agent. The undercover agent, whose part is being kept under wraps until the event takes place, receives orders to aid the agents from Earth 2 in their sabotage. This will give unprecedented power to the players, as they can interact with the game, as well as the event, in both physical and digital realms.
The show will start with an animated 10-minute countdown to set the tone, followed by an introduction from the online host who lays out the rules of engagement for both worlds.
After the introduction, the co-host appears and takes the players on a tour of the dramatic venue, introduced as a recon mission, where the battle is about to take place. Throughout the installations, the players go through Q&A sessions hosted by an interviewer, where online agents can send questions to the players and influencers in the physical venue. Simultaneously, the physical host will interact with influencers and players in the lounge area called the clutch zone for live chats about the fan-favourite game.
If you too want to experience the same, registrations are still ongoing for the event in Egypt. The second event of the trifecta will take place in Dubai from 17-18 December, with the third and final event in KSA in January.
