LG UltraGear Gaming Monitors Get VESA AdaptiveSync Display Certification

LG UltraGear gaming monitors, specifically model 27GP850, has become the first consumer monitor to feature the VESA AdaptiveSync Display certification. This is a new certification launched by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA), which helps consumers identify and compare the variable refresh rate (VRR) performance of gaming displays supporting VESA’s Adaptive-Sync protocol before they buy.

To be certified as the VESA AdaptiveSync Display, LG’s elite gaming monitors had to meet the exhaustive and rigorous requirements of the VESA Adaptive-Sync Display Compliance Test Specification (Adaptive-Sync Display CTS), which uses more than 50 test criteria to establish clear benchmarks for assessing monitors’ and laptops’ VRR capabilities. With high refresh rates, fast Gray-to-Gray (GTG) response times and low latency, the UltraGear gaming monitor met or exceeded the test scores specified in VESA’s new open standard.

The 27-inch 4K gaming monitor features advanced LG Nano IPS panels offering high refresh rates at 144Hz and a 1 millisecond GTG response time, allowing fluid gaming play and sharp, clean images for both PC and console games. It is also NVIDIA G-SYNC as well as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro Compatible, so you never have to worry about adaptability. Other models will also be launched in this series, but at a higher price point.

For now, you can only get the LG UltraGear 27GP850 in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, with a starting price of $600. The 27GP95R model will be launched in July, with a starting price of $980.
