The Huawei Mate50 Pro uses the elegant Clous de Paris step-patterned embossing design for the first time, in addition to the trademark Mate Series design language of classic symmetry and Space Ring Design, displaying a new type of ordered beauty that is meticulously produced. Two distinct styles of rear covers – glass and vegan leather, are included with the Huawei Mate50 Pro. The phone has a distinctive, exquisite finish thanks to the two colours of the glass cover, Silver and Black. The orange colour of the vegan leather variant was inspired by the dazzling orange rays of the Sun.
Cameras
The cutting-edge Ultra Aperture XMAGE Camera in the Huawei Mate50 Pro incorporates significant improvements to the optical system, mechanical structure, imaging technology, and picture processing. It has a 10-size adjustable physical aperture. When in Auto mode, the clever aperture adjusts to match the scene and shooting scenario with the appropriate aperture size. When in Professional mode, the blur level and depth of field can be manually changed. Deeply embedded cutting-edge hardware and algorithms improve static image shooting.
The Ultra Aperture Camera has an F1.4 big aperture that, in conjunction with the XD Fusion Pro picture engine and high light intake, allows for the optimal setting of image brightness, light and shadow details, as well as cold and warm comparisons. To make the subject stand out from their surroundings in portrait mode, the background is naturally blurred. Even in dimly lit conditions, the night mode is able to take images with sharply defined bright and dark regions.
With a zoom range of up to 200x, the periscope telephoto camera allows the user to see scenes from the far reaches of the universe up close. The wide-angle macro camera enhances small-scale features, displaying millimetre-level threads and dew droplets in exceptional clarity. Within its sleek frame, the Huawei Mate50 Pro houses a 4700 mAh battery. In order to strike the ideal balance between battery life, fast charging, and portability, it features 66W Huawei SuperCharge wired and 50W Huawei SuperCharge wireless fast-charging solutions. Additionally, SuperEnergy Boosting enables the Huawei Mate50 Pro to increase standby duration by three hours of standby, or 12 minutes of call time, by activating when the battery level drops to 1%.
Specifications
The Huawei Mate50 Pro modules are the first phones to ever achieve the certification of Kunlun Glass consisting of 10 quadrillion-level nanocrystals, which are the result of composite ion strengthening, making it more resilient and drop resistant, as verified by the first-ever five-star glass drop resistance certification from Switzerland’s SGS. The Huawei Mate50 Pro can also withstand wet and dusty conditions thanks to its IP68-rated water resistance of up to 6 meters underwater.
The display also offers a view into a world that is crystal clear. To guarantee complete authenticity, calibrated fine-tuned colours are used in conjunction with the P3 broad colour gamut. The smartphone has a 6.74-inch Huawei Full View Display with a 2616 x 1212 pixel screen resolution. It also has a PWM dimming at a high refresh rate of 120Hz and 1440Hz to lessen flickering and ease eye fatigue.
EMUI 13
The Huawei Mate50 Pro is the first smartphone to operate on EMUI 13, which simplifies daily interactions with simple one-touch navigation. Super Device SuperHub, a cutting-edge file transfer feature, is unveiled in EMUI 13. Users can easily drag any text, photo, video, or file to SuperHub’s floating window to temporarily store it. The user can then open a different program, choose the files from the SuperHub, and seamlessly cut and paste them. Users may also utilize SuperHub to transfer multiple files across their smartphone, tablet, and PC, thanks to its batch transfer functionality.
