Display
The 6.1-inch and 6.6-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display on the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ feature a super smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz Touch Sampling Rate in Game Mode. The 6.8-inch QHD+ Edge Dynamic AMOLED 2X Super Smooth Display on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has a similar refresh rate of 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz. All three models use Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, the first phones ever to use it.
Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Series smartphones will be powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and run on Android 13-based Samsung One UI 5.1 out-of-the-box. They also have a 49% enhanced GPU interface to improve the user experience. The Galaxy S23 has a 3900 mAh battery, whereas the Galaxy S23+ and the Galaxy S23 Ultra have battery capacities of 4700 mAh and 5000 mAh, respectively. All three models have different variants of storage, from 8GB to 12GB of RAM and 256GB to 1TB UFS 3.1 storage.
Cameras
The camera is the highlight of this series. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ have a triple camera arrangement, a 50MP primary wide camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 120° field of view, and a 10MP telephoto camera with a 3x optical zoom. For selfies and video calling, both the S23 and S23+ have front-facing 12MP cameras.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has the best-ever cameras from Samsung. A 200 MP Wide camera with an F1.7 aperture, a 12MP Ultra-Wide camera with an F2.2 aperture, and two 10MP telephoto cameras with 3x and 10x optical zooms are all housed in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The rear camera setup is designed to record videos at 8K Super HDR quality at 60 FPS.
It also sports a 12MP front camera with 60 FPS for taking selfies and making video calls at 4K quality. The S23 Ultra also has some unique camera features, including Super Quad Pixel technology for precise autofocus, a dedicated camera assistant, auto-lens switching, AI Aware feature for enhancing selfies and an exclusive Astro Hyperlapse mode for capturing space motions, constellations and star locations with super clarity at night.
Features
All three S23 series smartphones are made with recycled material in both internal and external components. They also have Ray Tracing gaming mode, which makes the character more real-like while playing and enhances the gaming experience with a PC-like gaming setup. They also feature a special Maintenance Mode, which can hide important apps and messages while the user has given them for repair, thus increasing the security and privacy level of the smartphones.
Price & Availability
The Samsung Galaxy S23 is priced at $799. The Galaxy S23+ and the Galaxy S23 Ultra cost $999 and $1199, respectively. They are now up for pre-orders on Samsung’s official website and will be available in all Samsung stores and other major retail stores worldwide starting from February 17.
