Lenovo ThinkView Plus Launched

A Smart-Display For Video Calls

In a crowded market, smart displays have found it a little difficult to establish themselves. Companies have been looking for use that sticks around, from the Facebook Portal videoconferencing display and Amazon Echo Show 15 to a line of desktop-sized smart monitors from Samsung. The 27-inch ThinkView Plus from Lenovo is the next endeavour in this. It makes an effort to fill a market gap for smart screens used for business, but it does so by confining its attention to Microsoft Teams. The display can be utilised for home offices, executive desks, phone booths, and hot desking.

Design

The ThinkView Plus consists of a USB-C monitor and two videoconferencing displays. You have a good selection of connectivity options on the monitor side, including one HDMI, one DisplayPort in and out, two USB-A ports, and one USB-C connector. It offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution and 81.6 pixels per inch of pixel density.

Specifications

The display’s octa-core Qualcomm SoC, which supports Wi-Fi 6 and lets the ThinkView Plus access calendars, chat, and files while running Teams on an unidentified version of Android without a computer, is where the display really shines. The display’s predecessor uses Android Open Source Project 8.1.

Features

A 4K infrared and RGB camera that is incorporated in the ThinkView Plus also uses the SoC to power AI-based functions like auto-framing and automatic image quality changes. Additionally, there are four microphones and two powerful 5Wspeakers with good sound that are allegedly detachable and upgradeable while still being fascinating for long-term use. The display will include a Microsoft whiteboard programme and a passive stylus.

Price & Availability

The Lenovo ThinkView Plus monitor is priced at $2345 and is available globally on Lenovo’s official website and through all Lenovo stores in all countries.
