Razer just announced the launch of the Razer Kishi V2 mobile gaming controller. This award-winning mobile gaming controller brings console-quality controls and gameplay to the smartphone. The design is inspired by Razer’s Wolverine V2 console controllers, with the same high-quality inputs, further enhanced with all-new tactile microswitch controls. It incorporates a comfortable grip in a highly portable form-factor.
The Kishi V2’s structural design has been reimagined with a simplified bridge providing a stable feel and universal smartphone compatibility. The company has worked especially hard to ensure compatibility with current and upcoming Samsung and Google Pixel phones, for maximum utility.
In addition to the design changes, you also get some functional changes. In the form of new dual multifunction buttons which give you the ability to launch the all-new Razer Nexus app with the push of a button. The fully integrated Razer Nexus App, provides quick access to installed games, instant YouTube or Facebook streaming capabilities, compatible game discovery, and controller settings. There is even a dedicated ‘Share’ button, which allows gamers to quickly capture the stills or record video clips to share online.
The gameplay itself is effortless, just like its predecessor, with the Kishi V2 delivering native and cloud game control through a USB-C connection and pass-through charging ports that allow for device charging without interrupting gameplay. These improvements ensure the Kishi V2 is optimized for maximum performance while playing the latest streamed-AAA or mobile game releases.
Currently, you can only get the Kishi V2 for Android, but an iPhone release is confirmed for later this year. The price starts at $99.99 USD / 119,99€, with the controller on sale at Razer.com & authorized retailers.
