Huawei Band 7 Launched

Light Weight Coupled With The Curved Design

Huawei today announced the launch of the HUAWEI Band 7, its thinnest smart band, with only 9.99mm in thickness and 16g in weight, that too with the strap, so users can barely feel the device when they are wearing it. The lightweight, coupled with the curved design, is meant to deliver an aesthetically pleasing wearing experience.

Body and Display

The face is equipped with a 2.5D AMOLED high-quality curved glass display with a screen-to-body ratio of 64.88% and 194 x 368 resolution, featuring an ultra-narrow bezel for an extreme field of view, which makes the whole screen look fuller, bringing a high-definition visual experience. On the screen, you get a clean and easy-to-see UI, which features all your notifications, fitness apps, and health monitoring services.

Health and Fitness Features

You get a comprehensive suite of health monitoring features, such as SpO2, heart rate, sleep, and stress monitoring. Some features are unique to the system, like the newly upgraded HUAWEI TruSeen 4.0 heart rate monitoring technology and the HUAWEI TruRelax, a pressure-tracking algorithm. There is even a HUAWEI TruSleep, which can assess sleep quality without disturbing the user's sleep. All the information is integrated into the Healthy Living Shamrock, a personalized health management system that helps you set various daily goals and even automatic low blood oxygen level reminders.

For fitness enthusiasts, there are the Huawei-exclusive TruSport algorithms, which measure each training index of runners from a scientific and quantitative perspective. The HUAWEI Band 7 offers an upgraded workout monitoring feature, providing a total of 96 workout modes, including running, cycling, swimming, rope skipping, and roller skating. The new running ability index (RAI) can be used to measure a runner's endurance level and running technical efficiency.

This way, you can indulge in all your favourite workouts while automatically and constantly measuring all aspects of your health. During downtime, you can enjoy music, news, and a host of other features, with easy controls, a remote shutter, and handy reminders for text messages, emails, and social apps. There are even dedicated widgets for weather, alarm clock, stopwatch, timer, flashlight, find my phone, voice assistant, and more.

All of this and more can be powered for up to 14-days thanks to the in-built battery, but in IRL conditions, expect something around 10 days in heavy usage scenarios; which is still a lot of time for all-day long continuous use, which includes monitoring various body indicators, even when sleeping. Thankfully, even if you run out of power unexpectedly, the band supports wireless charging for ease of use.

Price and Availability

The HUAWEI Band 7 is now available on Huawei’s official website and across select retailers in the UAE, priced at 209AED. The Ultra-Thin FullView Fitness Tracker will be available in four different colour variants of Graphite Black, Nebula Pink, Wilderness Green, and Flame Red.
