Modifications
There are a few noticeable upgrades from the prior model with the Huawei FreeBuds 5i. The stem is shorter, and they are lighter. Additionally, they have better sound quality, ANC, and battery life. And they now also have a nicer appearance. They are now much softer and with a pebble-like texture, including the beautiful casing. Each earbud weighs only 4.9 grams compared to the case’s 34 grams.
Features
The charging case now contains a 410mAh battery, which is a significant improvement. With the case provided, the earbuds have a battery life of 28 hours. After just a 15-minute charge, 4 hours of audio playback are available.
As for water resistance, the Huawei Freebuds 5i has an IP54 certification. There are several ANC, and EQ modes offered, and they enable Dual Device Connection as well, allowing you to move between devices without any interruption. The Hi-Res Audio Wireless (Hi-Res) certification is another feature of these earbuds.
Audio
Additionally, they have multi-EQ effects and LDAC support. That implies that you can choose modes for, say, treble or bass increase. In addition to dual-mic ANC and hybrid noise cancellation, these earbuds include hybrid noise cancellation technology and come with two microphones. Up to 42dB of noise attenuation is the maximum.
With these earbuds, you have the option of Ultra, General, or Cozy noise cancelling. You’ll have to test them all out to find which one best suits your preferences because each of them provides ANC in a different way. The FreeBuds 5i work with both Android and iOS as well as essentially any other device that supports Bluetooth audio device connections, such as earbuds, headphones, and so forth. They are available in the colours Blue, Ceramic White, and Nebula Black.
Price & Availability
The Huawei Freebuds 5i is priced at $105. They will be available for purchase from the Huawei stores starting on January 16th. Though additional locations will start receiving them beginning in early February, their availability will increase gradually.
