All editions feature a mixture of traditional watch designs with some premium finishes. Since it is the Moon Phase Collection, they also get special Moon Phase watch faces that correspond with the different phases of the moon. This includes 8 moon phases such as the new moon, full moon and first quarter moon and more. Apart from moon phases, users can choose different layouts showing tide times, constellations and more to master the elements as they explore outdoors.
These faces and other data are displayed on a bright and clear AMOLED display, with the 46mm version getting a 1.43-inch display and the 42mm version getting a smaller 1.32-inch one. These are, of course, always-on displays to help them blend in with traditional watches. You can always customize the watch faces to showcase whatever information you deem critical.
In addition to being minimalistic in their design, the watches are also quite lightweight, with the 46mm version weighing just 42.6g with an overall thickness of 11mm, and the 42mm version weighing just 35g with an overall thickness of 10.2mm. This way, you can easily use them throughout the day without feeling any pain or discomfort.
The internals of the watches has also seen upgrades, the biggest one being the battery life, which, if the claims are to be believed, can stretch to up to 2 weeks, even with all-day health tracking. The health tracking is still the star feature, though, as the watch contains sensors that provide continuous, real-time, SpO2, sleep, and stress, monitoring features. All this is in addition to the regular fitness tracking features that come standard with most smartwatches.
Based on this data, you can get personalised reminders for health challenges, daily water intake, daily mindfulness, early sleep reminders, exercise volume control, and or simply just to stay positive. These features are supported by special algorithms that include an AI Running Coach and Healthy Living Shamrock, which is like a health and fitness assistant.
HUAWEI combines these and more features into their trademarked TruSleep & TruSeen systems that work towards tracking your health and fitness round the clock. These systems improve themselves each week by taking the data collected and the body’s feedback to adjust the recommended training plan for the user automatically. The algorithm also gets upgraded through over-the-air updates received from the company.
So much so that the algorithms are sophisticated enough to enable over 100 workout modes, including 18 professional workout modes and 12 outdoor workouts (running, walking, mountain climbing, hiking, cross-country running, cycling, open water swimming, triathlon, skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and golf) and 6 indoor workouts (walking, running, cycling, pool swimming, free training, elliptical machine, and rowing machine).
Not only do you get access to all these fitness features, but you also get to enjoy regular smartwatch features, like Bluetooth calls, the ability to receive, read, and reply to SMS messages, as well as other notifications. There is also onboard navigation thanks to Petal Maps and other apps that are supported by the HUAWEI ecosystem.
You can explore all this and more at an affordable starting price of around AED 899. If you pre-order, you might even get free gifts valued at AED 598, which include a HUAWEI Scale 3 and HUAWEI FreeLace. Pre-orders start from December 9th.
