The company showed off the new sleek and compact carrying case at Chet Lo's show in a variety of colours that matched the themed costumes of the runway models. They even showed off a transparent case, which carries forward their theme of using see-through bodies to highlight the electronics within. This was their way of teasing the audience before the official launch, which might happen in the near future. Their initial plan was to release them alongside the Nothing phone, but for unknown reasons, they decided to push it off for the time being.
As we mentioned above, these new earbuds will replace the original Ear 1 model and hopefully deliver a noticeable upgrade in terms of sound output and clarity, not just the design. We do expect to see some change to the rubber tips as well, as the current version makes it a bit hard to get a proper seal for noise cancellation. We will have to wait and see if they decide to introduce a dedicated processor to handle the sound output like other audio manufacturers are starting to do. So far, we have no confirmation about the same.
In addition to the new case, the company also showed off special limited edition bags to carry all your electronics in style. Predictably, the bag features a sheer fabric that lets you see the notification lights of the Nothing Phone 1 if you place it inside. This was their way of trying to solidify their design aesthetic based on the theme of transparency. Just like the new Ear Sticks, which will be on sale alongside the bags sometime next year.
