Display
The OLED display with a 128 x 40 resolution will have functions including changing profiles while playing games, monitoring the condition of the charger or microphone, pairing Bluetooth devices, and running text or animated backgrounds. The customised animations are evocative of the vintage Sega Dreamcast controller or the OLED display that took the place of the Xbox jewel on the updated Duke controller in 2018.
Features
In-game controller profile change is supported by two buttons on the top of the Raikiri Pro. Asus’ Armoury Crate PC program allows for customising button remapping, joystick sensitivity, trigger modes, and dead zones. In addition, there are trigger locks, a circular D-pad, and four rear buttons that may be programmed. Also, the Raikiri Pro has a 3.5 mm headphone port, an integrated ESS DAC, and a mute button.
Connectivity
The ASUS Raikiri Pro is also the first controller with tri-mode connectivity that has an Xbox license. That includes wired USB-C, a low-latency 2.4GHz RF mode, and Bluetooth. Asus refers to the Raikiri Pro as a professional PC controller and only indicates connectivity to Xbox Series X / S consoles when using wired USB-C, despite the fact that it bears the Developed by Xbox insignia. That would imply that a lot of the pro features are only completely functional on PC.
Price & Availability
The prices and details about the global launch of the Raikiri Pro are not yet made official by Asus. But it is expected to arrive sometime around February or March.
